Named after its first-ever recipient, ‘Alfie’ is Team UnLimbited’s current design. Released in 2018, the open source arm is specifically designed to stand out and show off a child’s limb difference, giving them a positive psychological boost.

It is designed to be low cost, lightweight, accessible and easy to assemble.

Advantages

We have streamlined the process to make it as simple as possible to generate the ‘blueprints’ needed to print the UnLimbited arm.

With just three key measurements – hand length, forearm length and bicep circumference, all print files are generated automatically.

The design is provided free of charge under an open source licence.

Instructions and files

Team UnLimbited host our files on Thingiverse to make them as accessible as possible.

Unfortunately Thingiverse is not being maintained and funded properly. Because of this our Thinigiverse page (as well as many others) is broken with no sign of a fix in sight. To access our arm files please see the instruction by clicking the DOWNLOAD button below. Please watch both video’s which give an overview on how to build our UnLimbited arms.
